What is your pricing?

We charge by a 65 character line.
Our price range for services is from 7.5 cents/line to 10 cents/line.

We offer a 7 day free trial to assess pricing. During this period, all dictation is transcribed without charge, and entered into the client’s EMR, if necessary. There is no obligation to continue.

How is a 65 character line calculated?

To arrive at the number of lines in a particular paragraph, we count the number of characters in the entire paragraph and divide that by 65, the number of characters typically found in one full line of text.
All keystrokes made by a transcriptionist including the space key count as a character. Keystrokes that produce formatting or capital letters are not counted. For example, “Patient was seen New Year’s Eve” is 31 characters.
If the entire paragraph is less than 65 characters (a typical full line of text) we count that as 1 line.
Line counts for paragraphs are rounded up to the next whole number for simplicity. For example, a line count of 7.4 is treated as 8 lines.
The line counts for each paragraph are then totaled to produce a final line count for the whole document.
There is no charge for template text, which does not contribute to the line count. To be exempted from line charges, templates must remain unchanged in every document in which they are used; for example a letterhead, or a static confidentiality statement. If modification or formatting is required, there will be a line charge. Likewise, if the template requires a QA review to be sure it’s correct, there will be a line charge.

Is there a charge for helping me to create templates or to incorporate my letterhead into all my documents?

We do not have any set up fees, nor do we charge for letterhead or template lines (see question #1)

Do you outsource work?

All work is done within our company. Your voice files and documents never leave our control.

Do you have any set-up fees? Any minimum fees? Any termination fees?

Is there an extra charge for faxing reports to me or to other physicians such as the physician that referred the patient to our practice?

What is your normal turnaround time?

Generally, you will receive your transcribed documents the morning of the next business day.

How can I be assured that your service is secure and confidential?
